The National Police, Defence & Emergency Services Women's Leadership Summit 2018 draws together the sectors' most respected thought leaders while equipping managers with the skills, confidence and connections to consolidate and plan for future success. This event provides a unique opportunity to learn from a wide range of personnel from front line managers to inspirational senior decision makers.

The summit features a practical development session on building career changing connections and networking strategically. Particularly for women in male dominated workplaces, the data shows that having a network of other women has a significant impact on retention and career progression. This impactful session delivers tips and strategies to build and maintain the relationships that stand at the centre of a strong network.

Additionally, there will be an interactive and informative panel session on how Australia's frontline sectors are professing in terms of female representation and what can be done to move closer to parity and equity.

Tracey Spicer, Author, Journalist and Television Presenter, will facilitate the summit and perform as panel moderator. The high calibre line up of speakers includes:

- Major Matina Jewell (retired) - One of the most highly decorated females in Australian military history

- Superintendent Virginia Nelson - Queensland Police
- Susan Webster - Former Superintendent, Ambulance NSW
- Quinn Cramer - Senior Fire Fighter, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services
- Lieutenant Colonel Mark Wilson - Former Chair of the PNGDF Gender Equity and Policy Committee
- Dr Janet Smith - Associate Professor (Adjunct), University of Canberra; and Senior Facilitator and Executive Coach
