SYPAQ Launches Corvo Unmanned Aerial Systems and Autonomous Intelligence and Data Processing solutions

Melbourne, Australia, September 1st, 2016 - SYPAQ, a leading Australian Systems Integrator, today officially launched its Australian designed and manufactured range of products for the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance community. Released under SYPAQ’s registered Corvo brand, the initial range includes its flagship Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), the Corvo H6M, as well as the modular Corvo P1 and P2 Video Processing systems, and Corvo VS Goggles.

Speaking ahead of the Land Forces 2016 Exposition, in Adelaide, Australia, SYPAQ’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms Amanda Holt, said that “Corvo is the culmination of 25 years of C4ISR expertise and experience in complex systems design, delivery and support, applied to our intimate knowledge of the operational challenges and the dynamic needs of our customers ranging across industries including Defence, Law Enforcement, Public Safety and Emergency Services.  We are proud to launch the first of our range of indigenous, modular, scalable C4ISR systems, made possible through the dedicated efforts of some of Australia’s best engineering talent combined with world leading technology and integration practices”.

Corvo is the brainchild of long standing SYPAQ senior executive, Mr Ross Osborne, who heads up SYPAQ’s Sensors and Surveillance business and is the Corvo Program Manager.

“The team behind Corvo has an incredible depth of experience in Airborne Sensing and Autonomous systems, allowing SYPAQ to develop a family of products that are truly class leading. The Corvo products offer the levels of capability and reliability demanded in a military environment at a price point that is competitive in the commercial sector”. Mr Osborne said.

“The Corvo H6M has been designed to be a modular system, allowing for easy expansion and re-use of the payload and avionics systems. We also have a clear roadmap in place for the development of advanced payload systems and a longer endurance airframe”. 

Those attending Land Forces 2016, at the Adelaide Convention Centre on 6-8 September, will get the opportunity to see the Corvo product range and meet with Ms Holt and Mr Osborne in person at the SYPAQ stand (part of the Victorian Government exhibition – Hall 2, Stand #2Q21).
