At the upcoming Land Forces Exhibition set to take place in Brisbane, Australia from September 22-25, 2014, Elbit Systems will feature an impressive line-up of next-generation systems and solutions to enable and integrate the future Land Force for the Australian Defence Force. Visitors to the Company booth (#1P19) can view a wide range of cutting edge solutions answering the modern battlefield's demands for connectivity, interoperability and Network Centric Warfare (NCW) concepts. Most of all, these solutions fully integrate and network all land platforms and systems to enable them to react with significantly greater speed, precision and intelligence as a unified force.
Accurate situational awareness allows for quick coordination and effective responses to rapidly changing operational scenarios. To achieve this requires advanced technologies involving the latest hardware and software. Leveraging in-house development of underlying technologies, products, platforms and systems, Elbit Systems has developed extensive experience in designing, developing and integrating these technologies into future land digitisation programs around the world. Our systems employ a tactical building-block approach to link various applications and levels of command implementing advanced NCW concepts. Configurations comprise tactical computers, digital maps, message-handling systems, electro optics, surveillance radars, ground sensors, EW systems, remote weapons stations, advanced radio communications, tactical modems and routers. This is in addition to specific components developed for customer-specific needs. We also provide software infrastructure and applications for mobile and airborne platforms, for the individual soldier, and headquarters Command and Control (C2) applications.
Based on these core technology building blocks, we offer our customers comprehensive integrated solutions of C4I for land forces at all levels. The systems process, manage and present massive amounts of data arriving from various sources into a user-friendly format.

A major highlight of Elbit Systems' exhibition will be a demonstration of two major capabilities that will enable and integrate the future land force:
• The Current and Evolving ADF Battle Management Systems (ADF BMS-C2) that will “enable and integrate the future Land Force”
• The Chauvel AFV integrated Fighting Systems (CAFS) that “fully integrates the ADF-BMS-C2 network and equipment with a next generation fighting vehicle’s sensors and systems
The first demonstration features combined mission awareness in a scenario that depicts the current and evolving ADF BMS-C2 - It combines C3 (command, control, communications), sensors, Intelligence and integrated weapons into a unified system. The demonstration will focus on a full spectrum of Elbit Systems' solutions, which answer the ADF BMS-C2 challenge of performing complex, synchronized missions.

Command, Control and Computers
Elbit Systems' advanced networked Battle Management Systems (BMS) delivers improved coordination and planning and rapid closure of the sensor-to-shooter loop. These systems provide all branches of the fighting force with enhanced situational awareness and mission-critical information. Advanced C4ISR solutions provide end-to- end, innovative and integrated systems to all operational levels. Autonomous C4I arrays that improve situation awareness enable full connectivity through any communication system and incorporate a variety of integrated sensors and weapon systems.
A powerful force multiplier, the ADF BMS-C2 connects and coordinates all land, air, and sea forces from the highest echelon HQs to the individual platform, sensor and soldier. BMS-C2 implements advanced combat concepts that increase operational effectiveness and connectivity throughout all echelons in all combat situations - under a unified operational doctrine.
TORC2H®: The All in One BMS Software
A Services Orientated Architecture (SOA) platform that is a collection of integrated software applications developed in collaboration with Elbit Systems and its digital army customers. TORC2H provides the user interface to the BMS and is built specifically to operate efficiently over narrow band tactical communication links. It covers all army branches and echelons, enabling universal situational awareness as well as in-depth collaborative mission planning and management based on real-time information and an always-updated Common Operational Picture (COP).
BMS-D: The Dismounted Infantry BMS solution
An integrated infantry combat system enabling full situational awareness from the infantry battalion level down to the individual fire team, platoon and company commander. Elements such as soldier Blue Force Tracking can also extend down to individual soldiers. BMS-D dramatically shortens the sensor-to-shooter loop, significantly improves situational awareness for the soldier/commander in the fight and greatly enhances the combat effectiveness of the dismounted soldier.
Weapon integrated Battle Management System (WinBMS) solution
WIN-BMS connects platform weapon systems to the BMS enabling rapid sensor to shoot loop closure. Targets are rapidly acquired, identified, shared and engaged with WIN-BMS. It can be deployed to all weapon based platforms including attack helicopters, tanks, AFVs and for all Remote Weapon Stations (RWS) and significantly increases the platforms lethality and survivability.
Communications and Radio Systems:
ELSAT2000E is a low profile, small footprint, lightweight, rugged bi-directional Tactical Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Satellite-On-The-Move (SOTM) antenna.
Tadiran SDR-7200HH (Hand-Held) is a uniquely designed, lightweight system that offers simultaneous reliable voice & video or voice & data over a single narrowband tactical channel.
Tadiran PNR-1000A is an advanced Personal Network Radio for Infantry and Special Forces for continuous communications in urban warfare, especially designed for the micro-tactical levels.
Tadiran GRX-4000 is a latest generation dual-band high-capacity line-of-sight (HCLOS) broadband radio relay system, especially suitable for rapidly deployed command posts.
MIPR (Military IP Radio) is a next-generation tactical IP radio that delivers high-speed broadband-data communications to the battlefield, man-packed or mounted, for ultra-high bandwidth (up to 13.3Mbps), real-time high-resolution video, images, voice and data.
Tadiran THF-8000 is a multi-adaptive HF radio system for continuous long-range communications
TMR is a military grade, triple-play secured IP routing solution for mobile & deployed command posts and armored command vehicles, designed to disseminate voice, data and video over narrowband and broadband Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET).
Chauvel AFV integrated Fighting System (CAFS):
As the Australian Army develops its understanding of force digitization capability Elbit Systems is here with the next generation of battlefield command and control technology. CAFS provides a fully integrated hardware and software solution that matches the ADF’s current networks and equipment with the fighting vehicle’s sensors and systems.
Elbit Systems understands that a 21st Century Fighting Vehicle can be so much more that an armoured vehicle with a gun. The CAFS is a powerful node in a broad network of soldiers, sensors and weapons that fuses together as a single unified, entity where knowledge and awareness of the unfolding battlespace are seamlessly shared.
Remote Weapon Stations (RWS): Adaptable, effective and field-proven range of RWS leveraging over 30 years of experience and in-house development, the Elbit RWS product range includes weapons of different types and calibers including 5.56mm (0.22"), 7.62mm (0.3") and 12.7mm (0.5") in addition to 40mm automatic grenade launchers.
Laser Warning System (E-LAWS) and Threat Detection System (TDS): Accurately detects, categorizes and pinpoints laser sources such as rangefinders, designators, beam riders, infrared illuminators and trainers. In addition to laser sources, the Multi-Threat Detection System (MTDS) detects, categorizes and pinpoints radar/RF sources. An essential component of the vehicle's defensive capabilities, the systems feature audio and visual warnings, high detection probability, and a low false-alarm rate.
Commander Open Architecture Panoramic Sight (COAPS) is a low profile, small size advanced modular dual-axis stabilized sight for MBTs and AFVs. COAPS features a wide range of advanced sensors, including various thermal imagers, colour zoom camera and eye-safe Laser Range Finder (LRF).
Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS):
SAND - Seismic All-terrain Networked Detectors which are designed for real time, Beyond-Line-Of-Sight (BLOS) human and vehicular targets detection, for continuous operation.
OCEAN - Seismic acoustic multi-detector for detection and classification of humans and vehicles, as well as vehicle direction estimation.
TALOS™ - Low-cost Unattended Ground Radar for human and vehicular tracking. It contains a patented low-energy design, featuring integrated solar panels for continuous operation, without the need for additional infrastructure.
MTR – Miniature Tactical Radar for human and vehicular detection and tracking, featuring a small form factor and ground level covert operation, with high target separation capability, and solar panels for extremely low-energy consumption.
MID – Miniature Imaging Detector hybrid day and thermal imagers with advanced VMD capabilities, utilizing the communications unit as a source of the energy and communications.
Chameleon 2 – Day and thermal video covert sensor, with inner pan capabilities for wide area and high resolution coverage, no external moving parts, and wide band communications for video transmission.
Communications Unit - The unit has three system uses: facilitating the connection of 3rd party detectors to the network, act as an f1/f1 relay for sensor field extension, and serving as a communication hub connected to the control station.
Backhaul Communications Unit - A field deployed f1/f2 relay for communication range extension, offering 60-days of continuous operation based on an integral battery.
